Once your bands have learned their first 6 notes they are ready to ROCK OUT with piece #1 in the Arrangement Collection books, Cousin Louie. This video features the alternate Virtuoso part on Alto Saxophone. This group had no low instruments and no trumpets, but with Rubber Band Arrangements, they still sound great!
The video of this easy concert march features the optional Virtuoso Trumpet in the first four measures. Although this Virtuoso part is a trumpet call, it may be played on any instrument.

Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with this easy Irish Jig! This piece can actually accommodate 5 levels simultaneously. Beginners can play the regular part, with or without the Bonus Parts, intermediate players can play the Upper Register part, with or without the Bonus Parts, and then there’s the Virtuoso part . . . .
Celebrate Halloween by featuring any combination of solos, duets or small groups on this medley of two scary themes. The Video also showcases the Alternate, super fun Virtuoso part on Alto Sax.
Reminiscent of a duet that all kids love to play on the piano, this 1950’s style piece comes together very quickly. The video features a group comprised of Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax and Percussion only, yet all parts are present. Sax and flute demonstrate the optional Virtuoso part.
This simple yet captivating middle eastern melody, amazingly contains only 4 notes! Flutes are featured on the optional Virtuoso part throughout.
The video of this simple jazzy tune, features one drummer playing the Easy Bass and Snare part, (Percussion II), while a second more advanced student, plays the Technical Snare part, (Percussion III). Click on the pdf below to view the percussion options.
A winter concert favorite, in this arrangement the melody alternates every 4 measures between two instrument groups. It is performed by an ensemble of 6 musicians with no trumpets or low instruments. The percussionist is playing out of the Easy Bass and Snare Drum book.
The title of this easy pep band style piece is as flexible as the arrangement. I have performed it as Dolphin Strut, Tiger Strut, Gator Strut, insert the mascot name of your choice. Both beginners and advanced players can be featured on a solo that’s right for them!
The Video features a Quartet of Elementary School musicians, and showcases the optional Virtuoso part on Flute at the beginning. Compare that with the performance on the mp3 below by a 60 piece High School Wind Ensemble.
This piece was inspired by the classic Rock of the 1970’s. The video features 3 improvised solos at the beginning. All student books include improvisation scales for both Fog on the River, and Westside Blues. Conductor Score contains instructions for incorporating improvised solos.
This Spanish concert piece was inspired by classical Flamenco music. The video features the challenging optional Virtuoso part on alto saxophone at both the beginning and the end.
This final song in the collection was inspired by the music of the great American film composer Henry Mancini. This hard grooving pop tune will motivate your advanced band to rise to the challenge!
