Arrangement Collection books include several different options for your percussion section.
Percussion I is Auxiliary Percussion. This book includes parts for suspended cymbal, triangle, wood block, sleigh bells, and maracas, as well as optional timpani parts for 7 of the 14 full-length pieces.
There is also a complete Mallet Percussion book. In addition, Virtuoso books for Mallet Percussion may be special ordered.
There are three levels of snare books available. Each of these books share the same Bass Drum part. All three may be used simultaneously to accommodate snare drummers at different levels.
Percussion II, Easy Bass and Snare Drum, can be played by just one musician with a drum stick in one hand and a bass drum mallet in the other. This book requires no actual snare drum technique. It is designed to be played by non-drummers rotating in and out of the percussion section. Percussion II is a great way to add an element of “groove” to a program that does not contain a full percussion component:
Percussion III, Technical Snare and Bass Drum, sequentially introduces more complex rhythms and rudiments in the snare parts. This book is the recommended text for most drummers.
Percussion IV, Virtuoso Snare and Bass Drum, contains the most challenging snare parts. This book combines intricate rudiments, with complex rhythmic subdivisions. When appropriate, it also adds in optional high hat and suspended cymbal parts that may be played simultaneously with the snare part, or on a drum set.
