Steve Hommel , holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from the USC school of music, and has an extensive resume as a woodwind performer and a composer/arranger. He has performed with such jazz luminaries as Wynton Marsalis, Peter White, and Steve Allen, and is an internationally recognized composer of music for young concert bands.

As a music teacher in the Fountain Valley School District for over fifteen years, Mr. Hommel searched for solutions to the challenges found in teaching elementary band, and for a format that would allow students to better realize their musical potential. The result was Rubber Band Arrangements. Since then he has presented his materials to music educator associations across the country, and as a result, Rubber Band Arrangements are currently in use in over 500 schools nationwide.
